IRC

Thanks to djbjrca, the clan now has an IRC channel. What is IRC? Think of it as a chatroom, like IM, but much more powerful. Here clan members can talk, and non-members can ask questions or anything else.

You will need a client to use IRC.

Free Windows client here: http://www.bersirc.com

Free Linux KDE client: http://www.kvirc.net

Free Linux GNOME client: http://www.xchat.org/

Free Macintosh (even though you can't use it to play Legends, we're still cool) client: http://colloquy.info/

Then, just click connect to server, and type in irc.slashnet.org, no password, and once that loads, type in /join #phoenixarmy. As easy as that!

Remember to register yourself with nickserv, so that we can formally recognize you. Its easy. Just type /msg nickserv register without the <>'s. For example, /msg nickserv register jonboy343 jonby@noaddress.non. Then once you do that, check your email. It will give you a command to type in, or copy/paste. Do that. You are now registered. Each time you log on, remember !!!to type /msg nickserv identify without the <>. Thanks!

Note from djbjrca:

Remember to be polite while on IRC. It's not asking much of you to just be nice to people. #phoenixarmy is a privilege, not a right, and that privilege can be taken away. So that I don't sound completely negative, I quote Chicago: "You be good to Momma, and Momma will be good to you!" ;).

Here is a screenie of Bersirc having just joined the server:

This is X-Chat in the #phoenixarmy channel:
